- Abstract
Health information literacy is very important for pregnant women because maternal behavior affects the health of mothers and children. In fact, there is still an inability for pregnant women to find information related to pregnancy, resulting in a high maternal and child mortality rate. The purpose of this research is to develop a TIL (The Information Literacy) model assisted by digital technology in the literacy program for pregnant women. This research used the Research and Development (R&D) method. The sample in this study was pregnant women in the Rancaekek District, West Java. The instruments used in this study were questionnaire sheets, observation sheets, and tests. The research stages were determining potential and problems, collecting data, designing products, validating designs, revising designs, conducting product trials, and revising products based on trials. The data analysis technique used was descriptive quantitative. The results of the study showed that the Information Literacy (TIL) model assisted by digital technology developed for the pregnant women’s literacy program was valid and able to improve the ability of pregnant women to relay information. Thus, this model can be used for pregnant women as an information-literate pattern to get various pregnancy-related information.
