Abstract

This study explores journalism strategies that Salud con lupa used during the coronavirus global health crisis, focusing on its contribution to health education and reducing incorrect information. Using a study and descriptive quantitative approach, the data was collected through online studies, up to 405 followers were carried out, supplemented with user interaction analysis on the platform. The results reveal that Salud con lupa successfully created confidence between the audience: 73.3% of users reported that they were sharing its content, and 80% recognized its education value. Strategies such as the use of infographics and expert interviews proved to be particularly effective, involving new adults between the ages of 18 and 44, although the challenges continue to reach users over 45 years. The study emphasizes the urgent need to develop communication policies and protocols that optimize the potential of Instagram for the distribution of public health by providing proven and accessible information in different demographic groups. It also emphasizes the importance of disseminating knowledge by adjusting content for different age and education profiles, and by actively combating incorrect information. Finally, the study recommends diversifying content formats and improving the integration of user feedback to strengthen the importance, reliability and impact of health communication initiatives.
