- Abstract
Tourism is a strategic sector that contributes significantly to GDP and employment, so it needs to be managed sustainably by paying attention to social, cultural, and environmental values. Halal tourism has emerged as a form of value tourism per Sharia principles. Indonesia has excellent development potential, supported by technologies such as Virtual Tour 360 that offer immersive digital experiences. This study aims to systematically review the literature related to the use of Virtual Tour 360 in supporting sustainable halal tourism, identifying trends, key findings, and research gaps. This study employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, adhering to the guidelines of PRISMA 2020, and utilizes Google Scholar for article searches, complemented by Harzing’s Publish or Perish application. From the initial 30 articles, 15 were filtered and analyzed using Braun & Clarke’s thematic analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that Virtual Tour 360 has a positive contribution to promoting sustainable and halal tourism. This technology enhances the immersive, interactive, and friendly virtual travel experience for Muslim travelers. In addition, Virtual Tour 360 supports environmental conservation by reducing the need for physical travel.
