- Abstract
This study explores the interaction between leadership behaviors and organizational culture in startups, with a focus on how these factors influence the development, growth, and sustainability of new ventures. Drawing on established theories of leadership and organizational culture, the paper examines how leadership styles—particularly transformational and shared leadership—shape the culture within startups and how, in turn, this culture reinforces leadership behaviors. Through a conceptual model, the study highlights the reciprocal relationship between leadership and culture, illustrating how both elements contribute to a startup’s ability to innovate, adapt, and thrive in a dynamic business environment. The findings underscore the importance of leadership in fostering a culture of innovation, empowerment, and flexibility, which are essential for startup success. Practical implications include the need for startup leaders to cultivate an adaptive culture aligned with their strategic vision, as well as the significance of shared leadership in ensuring long-term sustainability.
