Abstract

This study explores how companies integrate disruptive technologies into their product development processes to foster innovation and maintain a competitive edge. The research builds on existing theoretical frameworks such as Disruptive Innovation Theory, Open Innovation Theory, and Dynamic Capabilities Theory to examine the dynamics of adopting and utilizing disruptive technologies in new product development. The study provides a conceptual model that links technology identification, innovation strategy, and market response, offering valuable insights into how firms can leverage disruptive technologies to create breakthrough products and reshape market landscapes. Drawing on a case study, the research highlights the practical challenges and opportunities faced by companies in navigating technological disruption, as well as the strategies that can be employed to ensure successful product development and long-term profitability. This paper contributes to the academic understanding of innovation management and provides actionable recommendations for companies seeking to harness disruptive technologies in their product development processes.
