Abstract

This article studies the influence of existentialism in Nguyen Quang Thieu’s poetry, especially the characteristics in the way he exploits the issues of freedom, loneliness, and human inner conflicts. Through images, symbols and language, Nguyen Quang Thieu depicts a world full of instability and contradictions, where people have to face the presence of death and the meaninglessness of life. His works reflect existentialism not only in content but also in artistic form, with special poetic structures, the use of metaphorical and symbolic language. The article also points out that, through poetry, Nguyen Quang Thieu not only shows the influence of existentialism but also shows a humanistic view of humanity, with efforts to find meaning and hope in a complex and challenging world.
