The 5th International Conference on Internet, Education and Information Technology (IEIT 2025) was successfully held in Hangzhou, China, from May 16 to 18, 2025. This annual conference provided a dynamic and multidisciplinary platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to present their latest findings and exchange innovative ideas in the fields of internet technology, educational innovation, and information systems.

IEIT 2025 maintained its strong focus on the convergence of cutting-edge internet technologies and education practices, offering a comprehensive agenda that reflected both theoretical advances and practical developments. The technical program featured a wide range of topics, including but not limited to internet-based education models, virtual learning environments, educational multimedia systems, educational data mining, cybersecurity in IT education, and smart learning environments.

The conference was honored to host four distinguished keynote speakers whose visionary talks enriched the academic dialogue and inspired participants:

Prof. Qing Li, Chair Professor and Head of the Department of Computing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, delivered a keynote titled “Knowledge Graph Construc tion, Reasoning, and Manipulation: A Case Study in Education Domain.” His presen tation introduced the K-Cube platform, a knowledge graph-based university curriculum system, and explored the integration of ontology-guided construction, machine reading comprehension, and KG visualization for improved educational content management.

Prof. Xinguo Yu, Dean of the CCNU Wollongong Joint Institute and Professor at Central China Normal University, presented “Digital and Intelligent Transformation of Education.” His talk highlighted the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on education, with a focus on AI’s role in mathematics education and the design of a five-component AI framework that supports advanced pedagogical strategies.

Prof. Adrian David Cheok, Full Professor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology and Director of the Imagineering Institute, Malaysia, delivered a thought-provoking keynote titled “Synthetic Hearts Navigating Friendship, Intimacy, and Love Between Humans and Advanced AI.” He explored the psychological and ethical dimensions of human–AI attachment, proposing design principles for trust-aware AI companions and emphasizing the societal implications of emotionally intelligent systems.
