Abstract

Fantasy characters such as dragons, hydra, loch ness, chimera, and other creatures are often visualized with animation media, which are then made into films and games. However, to create the animations of these creatures’ motions, it is necessary to consider the proportions of the body, characteristics, and principles of animation so that they look appealing. Observing animals that resemble the character and exploring their movements in animation is crucial to making the movements seem natural. Therefore, this study focused on animating a fantasy character based on animal movements. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach, which includes theory, interviews with players, and creation of works. The experimental animation method is also used to explore combinations of movements. The results obtained from this research are in the form of fantasy character cycle animations in the FPS game called “Guns and Monsters.”
