Welcome to the Proceedings of the 4th International Conference of Research on Language 2025 (IROLE 2025). The theme of IRoLe 2025, “The Roles of Multilingualism and Multiculturalism in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals across the Archipelago,” highlights the significance of language and culture in addressing contemporary social, educational, and global development issues. The conference provided an academic forum for researchers, educators, practitioners, and postgraduate students to present and discuss research related to language studies, applied linguistics, language education, intercultural communication, digital discourse, and language policy.
