Abstract

The development of Chat GPT has brought both opportunities and challenges to the person-targeted ideological and political education in colleges and universities. In the ideological and political education in colleges and universities, Chat GPT can actively respond to students’ realistic concerns and emotional trigger points and enhance the pertinence of education sources to meet the requirements of person-targeted ideological and political education. However, Chat GPT also has caused multiple problems such as academic misconduct, impact on the existing education system and so on. According to influence of Chat GPT, this paper adopts the methods of questionnaire survey and statistical analysis to design a questionnaire with the theme of “Opportunities, Challenges and Countermeasures Brought by the Development of Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (Chat GPT) to Person-targeted Ideological and Political Education in Colleges and Universities”. The author has distributed more than 400 questionnaire and collected and obtained 394 valid questionnaire data that cover students from different universities, educational stages and academic backgrounds. Furthermore, the author makes an empirical analysis and summary with the focus on the opportunities, challenges and countermeasures brought by the development of Chat GPT to person-targeted ideological and political courses in colleges and universities. By establishing the model and making empirical analysis, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are further put forward.
