- Abstract
Against the backdrop of the deep integration of the global digital economy and industries, the Metaverse, as an emerging technological carrier, provides innovative pathways for the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry. Heilongjiang Province, leveraging unique cultural and tourism resources such as ice-snow tourism, historical relics, and intangible cultural heritage, is actively exploring Metaverse empowerment practices. However, challenges remain, including insufficient technological coverage and regional development imbalances. Taking Heilongjiang Province as an example, this paper proposes three practical pathways for empowering the cultural tourism industry through the metaverse from three perspectives: tourism, culture, and diffusion effect. The research aims to provide references for the transformation and upgrading of Heilongjiang’s cultural and tourism industry, helping to build a new ecology of virtual-physical symbiosis in cultural and tourism consumption.
