Abstract

This paper explores the growth mindset as an emerging paradigm in educational management, analysing both its theoretical and neuroscientific foundations, as well as its practical implications for educational leaders, teachers and educational communities as a whole. The paper presents various aspects related to the adoption of a growth mindset in educational management, not merely as a motivational technique, but as a genuine paradigm shift, with systemic effects on the quality of education, the organisational climate and students’ long-term outcomes. The paper presents the main contextual factors influencing the mindset of educational leaders in managerial decision-making and explains the value of current managerial strategies and practices based on a growth mindset compared to the managerial behavior based on a fixed mindset of some leaders at the organisational level.

The conclusions of the paper highlight the advantages of a paradigm shift in educational management through the adoption of growth mindset principles in the performance management systems of current school organisations.
