- Abstract
This study examines risk management in Islamic Microfinance Institusions (LKMS) and its in supporting good corporate governance, specifically focusing on BMT Hudatama in Semarang. Identified risks include financial, credit, liquidity, operational, and Sharia compliancce risks, reflecting both conventional banking issues and unique challenges tied to Islamic finance principles. Findings emphasize that LKMS must adapt conventional risk management frameworks to Sharia regulations, requiring robust, ethically driven human resources with strong Islamic and professional expertise. Effective risk management within LKMS aims to strengthen institutional sustainability and promote socio-economic welfare among members and communities.
