Abstract

Based on partial least square structural equation model (PLS-SEM) and tourists with film and television travel experience, this study recruited respondents by simple random sampling through wechat, Douban and other social platforms and collected a total of 485 valid questionnaires. This study reveals the mechanism of the influence of film experience on the awareness of tourist destinations. According to the research hypothesis, SPSS Statistics 26.0 and Smart PLS 4.0 software were used as analysis tools to process the missing item value, descriptive analysis, measurement model analysis and structural model analysis of the questionnaire results. The structural model of “film experience - destination image - destination popularity” is constructed, and the cognitive image and Affective Image of tourist destinations are included in the analysis framework as intermediary factors. The results show that film experience has a significant positive impact on destination awareness; Both cognitive image and Affective Image play a significant mediating role in the relationship between film experience and tourist destination awareness. This study not only enriched the theoretical achievements in the field of film and television tourism, but also provided a scientific basis for the decision-making of the relevant administrative departments of film and television tourism, and promoted the development of film and television tourism research to a deeper level.
