- Abstract
With the continuous development of artificial intelligence(AI) and the popularisation of digital technology, AI products have gradually gained public attention and become an integral part of daily life. The advent of the digital age has also intensified the prevalence of loneliness among individuals. Both young people and middle-aged and elderly groups are facing the loneliness brought about by real socialisation and life to varying degrees. Based on this, AI products have become an important tool to alleviate human loneliness. Based on past research reports and a large number of literature survey data, this study summarises the impact of AI use on the loneliness of different age groups based on age classification, and puts forward feasibility suggestions for AI product optimisation and future research direction. The research results show that the use of AI to alleviate the loneliness of elderly users is the most significant, and it can also alleviate the loneliness of young and middle-aged users to a certain extent. However, at any age, it is necessary to avoid over-reliance on AI products, pay attention to personal privacy and security, and use AI to relieve loneliness within a reasonable range.
