Conference: 2026 3rd International Conference on Public Relations and Media Communication (PRMC 2026)
Date: 26–28 June 2026
Location: Kunming, China
Website: https://www.icprmc.com/ It is with great pleasure that we present the proceedings of the 2026 3rd International Conference on Public Relations and Media Communication (PRMC 2026), held from June 26 to 28, 2026, in Kunming, China. Building on the success of its two preceding editions, PRMC 2026 continues to serve as a vibrant interdisciplinary forum where scholars, practitioners, and emerging researchers converge to examine the evolving dynamics of public relations, media communication, marketing, and journalism in an increasingly digitized and interconnected world. The contemporary media landscape is undergoing transformations of unprecedented scale and velocity. The rise of generative artificial intelligence, the proliferation of algorithmic recommendation systems, the deepening entanglement of social media with everyday life, and the emergence of immersive technologies such as virtual and extended reality are redrawing the boundaries of how information is produced, disseminated, and consumed. These developments bring not only remarkable opportunities—enhanced efficiency, personalized experiences, and novel forms of creative expression—but also profound challenges: the erosion of media credibility, the entrenchment of information cocoons, the ethical dilemmas posed by deepfakes and AI-mediated communication, and the widening gap in digital literacy across demographic groups. It is precisely at this inflection point that scholarly inquiry into public relations and media communication becomes more urgent than ever. This volume comprises 95 reviewed papers, organized into five thematic chapters: brand marketing and consumer behavior, new media communication and social media ecology, AI-era communication transformation and ethics, cross-cultural communication and film and television media, and international relations, public governance, and immersive technology. Together, these chapters capture the breadth, depth, and interdisciplinary character of contemporary research at the intersection of public relations, media, and communication. We extend our sincere gratitude to all authors who entrusted their work to PRMC 2026, to the members of the international program committee and the anonymous reviewers whose rigorous and constructive evaluations ensured the academic quality of this volume, and to the organizing team whose tireless efforts made the conference possible. It is our hope that the research collected here will not only advance scholarly understanding but also inspire new conversations, collaborations, and inquiries that bridge the worlds of theory and practice. We warmly invite you to explore the pages that follow. PRMC 2026 Organizing Committee
