Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of technology-based interactive media in learning to write narrative texts in grade IV elementary school students with the application of the Independent Curriculum. This curriculum provides freedom for students to learn according to their needs and interests, while the use of interactive technology is expected to be able to improve the quality of learning. The research method used is qualitative research with an exploratory approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of students’ writing. The results of the study show that the use of technology-based interactive media increases students’ interest and motivation in writing, improves their ability to compose narrative texts, and creates a more collaborative and personal learning atmosphere. In addition, interactive technology allows for more engaging and efficient teaching, as well as supports the principles of the Independent Curriculum that emphasize flexibility and developing students’ potential. In conclusion, the integration of technology-based interactive media makes a positive contribution to learning to write narrative texts and is in line with the goals of the Independent Curriculum.
