Abstract

This study aims to conduct a literature review related to the socio-scientific Problem Based Learning learning model oriented to the Ethnophysics approach used for learning. The method used in this study is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which consists of 200 samples of research results related to the Socio-scientific Problem Based Learning learning model oriented to the ethnophysics approach. The sample consists of indexed journals published in the period 2015–2024. Data collection was carried out using the vosviewer application to determine the relationship between research topics and the novelty of socio-scientific problem based learning research, and the ethnophysics approach. The selection of journals was reviewed from the year of research, sample size and type of research. Based on the results of the study, it was found that articles on the ability to understand concepts related to socio-scientific problem based learning oriented to the Ethnophysics approach have been studied and discussed in the last five years, although there are still few and have not been found related to the ethnophysics approach. Based on the results of the study, 17 research journals were obtained that reviewed the Socio-scientific Problem Based Learning Model. In addition, it was also found that the Socioscientific Problem Based Learning model has various positive impacts on students, such as improving abilities, thinking skills, and scientific literacy, so that the Socioscientific Problem Based Learning model oriented towards the ethnophysics approach can be used for variations in the development of learning models at each level of education.
