- Abstract
As a painter with significant influence in the international art circle, Sanyu’s works combine the essence of Eastern and Western cultures. In his works, he not only embodies the origin of Chinese aesthetics, natural harmony and the pursuit of inner emotion and life origin, but also absorbs elements of Western modern art schools such as Fauvism and Expressionism. In terms of composition, lines, colors and shapes, Sanyu’s works show his unique artistic style and profound aesthetic implications. Based on the context of “integration of Chinese and Western”, this study aims to deeply explore the connotation and form of the integration of Chinese and Western aesthetics in Sanyu painting art by using comparative research and cross-cultural research, combined with aesthetic theories.
