The Influence of Workplace Diversity and Inclusion on Organizational Productivity: A Case Study of Five-Star Hotels in the National Capital Region

Abstract

This study examines the impact of workplace diversity and inclusion on organizational productivity in five-star hotels located in the National Capital Region. Data was collected using both primary and secondary sources, with a sample of employees from these hotels. Convenient sampling was employed for this research. The findings indicate that while various diversity and inclusion factors were considered, gender bias was the only significant issue impacting organizational productivity. Other aspects of diversity, such as ethnicity, age, and disability, did not show a direct influence on productivity levels within these hotels. The results suggest that while diversity and inclusion are crucial in fostering an inclusive work environment, gender biases remain a persistent challenge in the hospitality industry. Addressing these biases could enhance organizational productivity and employee satisfaction in five-star hotels. The study emphasizes the need for targeted interventions to reduce gender bias and promote true inclusivity within the workplace.
