Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of a design of joyful mathematical learning integrated with GeoGebra for sixth-grade elementary school students in learning integer operations. As an interactive learning tool, GeoGebra allows dynamic visualization of mathematical concepts, which is expected to improve student understanding. This study introduced a small group of sixth-grade students to adding and subtracting integers through interactive activities using GeoGebra. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and tests before and after the intervention. The results show that using GeoGebra increases students’ conceptual understanding and makes learning more exciting and interactive. Students report that visualization through GeoGebra helps them more easily understand integer operations, reduces errors, and increases their confidence in mathematics. These findings suggest that GeoGebra can teach basic mathematical concepts effectively, especially in integer operations.
