- Abstract
The existence of the Sriwijaya kingdom is still a debate for students, especially regarding its existence in Palembang. It is important to find solutions so that students can easily understand them. Through this research, the objectives to be achieved are (1) how to easily teach the material of the Sriwijaya kingdom in Palembang to students, (2) analyze the success of students’ literacy and numeracy skills in interpreting data about the existence of Sriwijaya in Palembang. This problem will be studied using qualitative research with the steps of reviewing the paradigm, determining focus, collecting field data, processing data, and analyzing data. Based on the results of the study, it is known that students more easily understand the existence of the Sriwijaya kingdom in Palembang, and are able to perform literacy and numeracy related to the location of the Sriwijaya kingdom in Palembang and the evidence of its heritage. So that it is known that the literacy and numeracy-based skills of students in interpreting the presence of Sriwijaya in Palembang in participants at SMP 59 Palembang have increased and contributed to the value of learning outcomes.
