Abstract

Ethical behaviour in business has been a critical research domain over the past two decades, with scholars exploring its implications across various industries and regions. This study provides a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of global research trends on ethical behaviour in business from 2000-2023. Utilizing Scopus-index publications, the study applies bibliometric techniques, including performance analysis and science mapping, to identify key research theme, prolific authors, influential journals, and major contributing countries. The findings highlight an increasing scholarly interest in ethical behaviour, with a significant rise in publication post-2010. Core thematic areas are identified such as corporate social responsibility, ethical leadership and sustainability, emphasizing the interdisciplinary nature of field. Additionally, network analysis reveals key collaborations and influential citation patterns shaping ethical discourse. This study contributes to the literature by providing a holistic overview of the intellectual landscape of ethical behaviour research, offering insight for academics, policymakers, and practitioners. The findings can guide future research directions by identifying underexplored areas and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to promote ethical business practices.
