Abstract

To explore the application effect of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) based on Bloom’s goal teaching theory in the case discussion of Engineering Bidding and Contract Management, with a view to providing new ideas and methods for the teaching of related specialties and improving the practical ability and comprehensive quality of students. The object of the study is a college engineering costing professional 2020 students, a total of 117 students. The students were divided into two groups according to classes, 58 in the first group and 59 in the second group. The experimental group adopts the PBL teaching method based on Bloom’s goal teaching theory, while the control group adopts the traditional case teaching method. The teaching content centered on the core knowledge points and practical cases of Engineering Bidding and Contract Management. The evaluation of the teaching effect was carried out in both subjective and objective dimensions. In the objective evaluation, the average score of students in the experimental group was (85.60±5.89), while the average score of students in the control group was (78.23±7.21), and the difference in the scores of the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). This shows that the PBL teaching method based on Bloom’s goal teaching theory can significantly improve students’ understanding and application of Engineering Bidding and Contract Management knowledge, which can significantly improve students’ learning effect and comprehensive quality compared with traditional teaching methods.
