Abstract

The purpose of this study was to understand the relationship between working stress and teaching effectiveness of teachers of A University in S City, China. A total of 436 valid questionnaires were obtained by online response, and the questionnaire data were statistically analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson product difference, multiple stepwise regression analysis, etc., and the following conclusions were obtained: 1. The working stress of teachers in A University belongs to the upper middle level, and the teaching effectiveness belongs to the lower middle level. 2. Among teachers of A University, significant differences were observed in working stress based on variables such as age, years of teaching, educational level, and professional title. However, no significant differences were found based on variables such as gender and marital status. 3. Among teachers of A University, significant differences were observed in teaching effectiveness based on variables such as age and years of teaching. However, no significant differences were found based on variables such as gender, marital status, educational level and professional title. 4. There is a significant moderate negative correlation between working stress and teaching effectiveness among teachers of A University. Additionally, working stress among A University teachers has a significant negative prediction effect on teaching effectiveness.
