- Abstract
This paper undertakes an in - depth exploration of the IELTS reading teaching reform within the context of Chinese - foreign cooperative education at Dalian Maritime University. By innovatively integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology into the “Trinity” teaching model, which encompasses vocabulary accumulation, reading skills training, and cross - cultural understanding, this study aims to significantly enhance students’ IELTS reading performance, professional English reading proficiency, and cross - cultural communication capabilities. The paper meticulously details the multifaceted applications of AI in teaching, conducts an in - depth analysis of the achieved outcomes, addresses the challenges encountered, and outlines the prospects for future development. The successful implementation of this reform offers valuable insights and practical references for international education and AI - based language teaching.
