Abstract

The teaching of the “Computer-Aided Design” course in colleges and universities mostly follows the textbook content to gradually explain the knowledge points. The course schedule is arranged according to the fixed framework of the textbook, with each functional point taught in stages, and students imitating to learn software operations. This single and theoretical teaching method is difficult to meet the needs of cultivating students’ innovative and practical abilities. In response to the above situation, this paper proposes a project-driven teaching mode for CAD that combines actual engineering cases. By embedding the teaching and learning of functional points into actual projects, this teaching mode takes real projects as the center and realizes the combination of theory and practice through task-oriented teaching. Teachers transform from traditional knowledge transmitters to guides and supervisors. In the process of completing the project, students not only need to learn CAD-related theoretical knowledge but also apply design software to solve practical problems, truly experiencing the entire process from creative design to drawing implementation. The author’s years of teaching practice show that the teaching mode proposed in this paper organically combines theoretical learning, practical operation, and the cultivation of innovative ability, which can effectively stimulate students’ learning interest, improve their professional skills and practical abilities.
