- Abstract
Our research aims to assess the relative impacts of “Methods and Pedagogy,” “Materials and Didactic Support,” “Atmosphere and Interaction between Students and Teachers,” and “Psychological Dimension” on the performance of online education. Employing structural modeling with latent variables through XLSTAT on a sample of 152 students from Hassan II University of Casablanca, we concluded that these selected factors generally have a weak to very weak impact on performance in distance education. Nonetheless, two invalid correlations were identified: one between “Methods and Pedagogy” and “Psychological State,” and another between “Materials and Didactic Support” and “Psychological State.” However, the psychological dimension does have a moderately positive impact on outcomes related to distance education. Indeed, our study indicates that distance education does not match the effectiveness of face-to-face instruction. While this new educational approach has prevented a year of academic loss for students, it still requires significant enhancements in pedagogical, didactic, and psychological domains.
