- Abstract
We describe here an innovative training tool focused on the integrated and cognitive learning of argumentative and polyphonic expression in French as a foreign language (FLE). Based on semantics, argumentative and enunciative didactics, as well as on the principles of SAE and DAE, our approach proposes a linguistic framework applicable to the whole language, presented in a technical and practical way. The main objective is to enable students to observe concrete examples of the French language to become aware of what their discourse reveals about themselves, identifying semantic similarities and differences in order to understand the meaning and linguistic instruments used.
The training tool, called “DAE SPOC”, is an open-access interactive web platform that integrates cognitive skills into a learning content management system (LCMS). It aims to promote cognitive self-learning of argumentative and polyphonic expression in FLE through exercises focusing on reflection, decision-making, the use of generalising and particularising lexis, as well as the linguistic architecture of expression and the autonomous production of constructed discourse.
The platform offers a variety of exercises, such as the use of discourse markers, textual organisation to structure ideas effectively, reflection and writing activities to develop communicative and reflective skills in a self-guided way, as well as exercises aimed at reinforcing autonomy in reflection and writing to consolidate the skills acquired throughout the course. Regularly enriched, this platform aims to provide learners with practical tools and relevant exercises to improve their mastery of argumentative and polyphonic expression in French as a foreign language.
