- Abstract
The cultural exchange talk show “Informal Talks” invites Chinese and foreign youth representatives from different countries and regions with different cultural backgrounds to discuss some generally concerned social topics in the form of debates, which is a typical case of cross-cultural communication. This paper tries to explore the intercultural communication practice of the talk show “Informal Talks” from the perspective of dialogue theory, using Nvivo software as an analytical tool, and based on a self-constructed database, in terms of the subject of the dialogue, the mode of the dialogue, and the content of the dialogue.
