- Abstract
Music is a particular type of emotional auditory information. It can not only be employed as auditory information in various scenarios and to meet different contents and demands, but also act as a medium to induce specific auditory information in humans, exerting a significant influence on human production and interaction. It possesses the connecting function of evoking emotional resonance and the structural function of shaping the field. The program “Sheng Sheng Bu Xi - Hong Kong Music Season” makes use of the popular music form of “Hong Kong music” that features regional, cultural, and temporal characteristics. By adopting the form of classic reprises and with the aid of stage scene designs that have a sense of technology and reminiscence, Hong Kong music not only enables the audience to develop a sense of self-identity but also serves as a bridge that transcends the barriers of time and space, connecting Hong Kong and the mainland, as well as the past, the present, and the future, thereby constructing an “emotional community” regarding the emotions of the family and the national sentiments.
