- Abstract
Building civil engineering is a very important spiritual carrier of it’s region because of the obvious regional characteristics. This article takes a contemporary perspective to examine the local cultural roots of engineering education, analyzes the current status of its localization, and puts forward the concept and implementation path of reconstructing the curriculum with the spirit of urban architectural culture of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It adopts curriculum and practical teaching approaches to integrate ideological and political education with architectural and civil engineering courses, and proposes an strategy based on the theory of student participation to enhance students’ cultural identity, social responsibility, and innovation, and achieve simultaneous improvements in professional knowledge and value concepts, providing useful references for cultivating high-quality.
