- Abstract
- Purpose
a) Knowing the application of SSI-based digital teaching materials (e-books). b) Analyzing the specifications of SSI-based digital teaching materials. c) Identifying the validity of SSI-based digital teaching materials. d) Testing the effectiveness of SSI-based digital teaching materials. Methodology: This type of research is Research and Development with ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The subjects of this research were teachers and grade IV students at SDIT Muhammadiyah Al-Kautsar Kartasura, MIM PK Kartasura and validators. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, documentation, product validation sheets, and science literacy tests. The analysis technique for qualitative data was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Quantitative data were analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The effectiveness test used was the Paired Sample T test, which previously conducted a prerequisite test of normality and homogeneity. Results: 1) IPAS learning has integrated the socioscientific model of issues, this method has not been well structured, and students' science literacy has not been measured. Observations show that teaching materials are dominated by printed media. 2) This developed digital teaching material product has met the standards of content, construction, and good language. The e-book structure is comprehensive, including materials, quizzes, evaluation questions, and motivation on each page. The additional QR code feature also allows for more visual and interactive learning. 3) The validity of the ENTAKUSSI e-book obtained a score of 92.90% from experts, indicating very high feasibility. 4) The effectiveness test results show that this teaching material is effective for improving science literacy. Applications/Originality/Value: In using this digital teaching material, it is necessary to prepare the learning process that must integrate socioscientific issues, with the hope that not only science literacy can be measured but also morals and ethics towards the environment.
