- Abstract
With the increasingly severe global environmental problems, environmental protection and climate change have become the focus of global attention, and many countries have begun to produce natural documentaries. This article focuses on “The Power of Nature: Creatures on the Earth” and “Wild Isles”, and comparatively analyzes the artistic expression techniques from a cross-cultural perspective. It is found that the two documentaries have differences in vision, hearing, narrative techniques, and photographic techniques. It is most noteworthy that the forms of the two natural documentaries convey different cultural cores. “The Power of Nature: Creatures on the Earth” conveys the Chinese people’s gratitude for motherly love, the cherishing of family, and the awe of life; “Wild Isles” appeals to future generations to protect nature and cherish natural resources, and reproduce a complete wild Britain for future generations. Both have achieved cultural dissemination and exchange, showing different cultural charms to the world.
