- Abstract
With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the field of digital media art education is experiencing profound changes. The paper discusses the combination of AI tools into digital media art curricula as well as the new kinds of teaching methods that arise out of such. With data from art educators and students from 20 institutions about surveying 320 art education teachers and 1,200 students, we explore current AI tool applications, compare teaching effects with and without AI tools, and discuss the difficulties and strategies of implementation. The results show that AI tools like GAN, NLP, and computer vision systems, have greatly boosted students’ creative efficiency and interdisciplinary skills. And new teaching models such as AI personalization learning, collaborative creation and immediate feedback have filled up the classroom and made the artistic output better. But there’re problems like lack of teachers’ education, ethics questions and inequalities caused by technological development. This research helps people understand that AI is important to modern art education. It also encourages people to use technology and love.
