- Abstract
Mental health issues among college students are increasingly prominent, necessitating innovative intervention methods. This study explores the application of image art therapy in college mental health education, analyzing its practical pathways and therapeutic mechanisms to demonstrate its unique value in alleviating students’ psychological stress and enhancing their psychological adjustment capabilities. Results show that image art therapy exerts therapeutic effects through multi-dimensional approaches, including emotional regulation, self-expression and cognition, empathy, and peer support, thereby enriching the methods used in university mental health education. This paper recommends integrating image art into university courses and activities and strengthening professional teaching staff and resource construction, thus providing new insights for college mental health education.
