- Abstract
In an economic context marked by rapid digital transformation, employability is no longer limited to technical skills but requires an optimal combination of human, digital, and global competences. This comparative study examines the impact of global competences and the use of digital tools on the perceived employability of students residing in Switzerland and Morocco. Based on a quantitative survey conducted among 390 students, the research uses correlation and multiple regression analyses to identify the determinants of professional integration.
The results demonstrate significant links between employability and certain global competences, notably critical thinking, problem-solving, as well as self-directed learning. The study also reveals that the use of digital tools is correlated with the development of competences such as collaboration and communication, although the intensity of these links varies according to the national context. Notable distinctions appear: students in Switzerland value cultural openness and the mastery of digital communication tools more, while students in Morocco prioritize ethical responsibility and the ability to relate new learning to existing knowledge.
In conclusion, the article highlights the necessity for higher education institutions to integrate more international mobility activities, language learning, and interdisciplinary projects. These initiatives are essential to strengthen global competences and effectively prepare students for the requirements of a globalized labor market.
